Alex was always cheerful, busy ,helpful and pleasant to be with. He made Thomas the tank engine and a roller coaster for the children at the fete.He joined in lots of village activities. We exchanged jigsaw puzzles, had coffee together chatting about life and things we enjoyed doing and he and Barbara have been wonderful next door neighbours..Alex will be sadly missed by family ,friends and colleagues. He was one of life’s gentlemen.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
